Peace in the Chaos

Woke up one morning and this was my day...

Children wanting my attention, puppies needing to be fed and walked, learning a new task at my job, while training a new person at the same time, spending time with my husband, ministering to others, housework needing to be done and the list goes on. I was being pulled in many directions and there was not enough time in the day so it spilled over to the next day and continued with added things to do.

With days like these my mind is constantly working. I think about what happened yesterday, what do I have to do today and what what are my plans for tomorrow.  On top of all of that I think about what is going on in the world and what can I do to make a difference. I’m sure many of you can relate to days like these and may even have the same thought process. They can cause us to be very distracted and lose focus on what is important and bring undue stress and worry on ourselves.   With our busyness, how often do we put God first? Do we take time each day to honor Him? When we pray is it a prayer of agenda or a prayer to give Him praise and worship Him? In our thoughts do we think about His goodness, His grace and His mercy? As God gives us breath and allows us to wake up each day, He should be our main focus. In Matthew 6:33 (KJV) it says “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” If we seek Him first, everything else will be taken care of. If we keep our minds on Him, He will give us perfect peace. Isaiah 26:3 God’s word instructs us on where our minds should to be...

“...whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
